The tribute room takes place on the level "The Package". Load up Bravo Point and make sure it's on Legendary. After you do this, proceed into the level until you have to hold off the Covenant from Halseys Lab. After defending your point for ten minutes, check the side of the labs building. You will see a locked off door. From the lab proceed to the other side of that levels area. You will see to your left once you arrive there a gap you can jump into but once you do you will hit a countdown barrier telling you to back up. Quickly run through the small gap and jump to the other side and hit the "secret" button and try and make your way back to the lab. As you proceed to the lab you will see at least 5 Golden Elites with swords rushing you. Defeat them all and then check the side door again. It will be open and you will instantly get teleported into Halseys lab. Inside you can find fan art, informational logs, and pictures from all the Halo Games ever created. It's a very interesting room and its full of secrets. You also can get a glimpse at Emiles face, if you look hard enough. Video is below. THE VIDEO BELOW IS NOT MINE.
The Nightclub Easter Egg can be found on the mission "New Alexandria". Proceed through the level until you reach the option to go into the nightclub and destroy your objective point. When you get to this point in the mission head back to the hospital where you previously were (the hospital is one of the first objectives to go to in the mission) and try and find a building with a ledge that is very low on it. On this ledge will be a switch that you can hit. When you hit this switch head back to the nightclub. Now, you can go inside and see grunts dancing, and a Brute DJ'ing, or you can go to the top of the nightclub and hit another switch. This switch will activate the "Siege of Madrigal" Easter Egg while you are in the nightclub. The Siege of Madrigal has been in every Halo game in many different locations. This is by far one of my favorite Easter Eggs. Refer to the video below. The video is NOT mine once again. The Pelican and Phantom Easter Egg is one of the largest Easter Eggs in Halo: Reach. Why? It's the first time ever you can actually operate the Pelican and the Phantom. To do this Easter Egg play the "New Alexandria" mission once again and proceed until you reach almost the end of the level. Near Club Sierra there will be a building with a switch on the top of a ledges roof. This is hard to explain, but refer to the video below for more information on the location of the switch. As soon as you hit the switch you have to find the gigantic ring that is located in New Alexandria. Take a Banshee or a Pelican and fly it through the ring, and as soon as you do, your vehicle will transform. If you have the Banshee you can pilot the Phantom. If you have the Falcon, you can pilot the Pelican. The controls are difficult, and there is no real purpose for it, but it's really awesome.
This is an Easter Egg in the beginning of the mission "The Package". After clearing out some enemies in the beginning part of the level, make your way up to the Scorpion. You jump into it and kill the annoying enemies around the switch you're going to hit. As you drive the Scorpion, as soon as you start to turn around a bend jump out and go left. There will be a countdown telling you to go back but keep going out of bounds. You will find a small yellow switch. Hit it fast and make your way back to the first part of the level. Under one of the platforms in the start of the level you will find some heavy boxes. Hit them away and then hit another switch. The death barriers in the level will be removed and four Banshees will spawn on top of the building next to you. You are then free to fly wherever you want, but you can't complete the mission after doing this. Video below.
Toward the end of the mission 'The Pillar of Autumn" you will come upon a cutscene of the Pillar of Autumn taking off into space. As you are in the cutscene, hold the right joystick to the right and soon your head will turn and you will get a glimpse of Master Cheif (or Linda) asleep in a Cryo Chamber. For a video refer below as the guys from Rooster Teeth walk you through how to do the Easter Egg.
This Easter Egg can be found on the mission "Lone Wolf". You can only see it if you use the Pan-Cam glitch, which you can do by starting up a campaign mission film and repeatedly restarting the film from the beginning. If you do it correctly you will be able to fly around the mission freely and explore out as far as you want. Once you do this fly where the guys from Rooster Teeth do in the video, and you will come upon a small Master Chief Statue way off in the distance, just sitting there. It's a very cool Easter Egg.
The Suicidal Marine Easter Egg can be found on New Alexandria during the Ivory Tower (Reflection) part of the mission. If you venture to the upper right you will find a Marine who is scared to death and says some pretty interesting things. At the end he tries to commit suicide but he doesn't manage to go through with it. Check the video below from Rooster Teeth to see exactly where to find him.
Throughout Halo: Reach you will stumble upon tiny little radios that have different comm chatter. These radios can be found on Tempest, Overlook, Countdown, and many other multiplayer levels. When you get close to them you will hear different people discussing what is happening on Reach and hear some interesting chatter involving the state of Reach. They are worth checking out. Below is a video from Zealous Sangheili in which he takes one radio and decodes what is actually being said on it.
This was also an Easter Egg in Halo: 3. While in your visor mode look in the bottom left hand corner and you will see some binary code. The code is as follows: " 0100010001100001011001100101". After translating that into ASCII you get "Dave". The Dave this refers to is actually Dave Candland, aka Evil Otto. He is a UI designer and after designing the Halo: Reach visor, he included his name just as he did in Halo: 3. Pretty cool, isn't it?
